How to rent ?

Easy steps to finding apartments, cottages, villas and chalets and booking the perfect holiday rental

Contract via the booking service :
- You will receive by return E-mail or Mail a contract 
- Some booking fees will be required
- An optional insurance (4,5% of the total of your stay) will be proposed
- As soon as we receive your contract duly signed and accompanied by your deposit, your booking will be confirmed. The balance of the rent must be paid one month before your arrival.
- After receipt of the balance of the rent, we will send you by return mail or email, the details of the owner.
 
Contract via the owner :
- Contact the owner to do the booking.
- He will send you a contract by mail, E-Mail or fax.
- As soon as the owner receive your contract duly signed and accompanied by your deposit, your booking is confirmed.
- The balance of the rent must be paid on your arrival.

Tenants are advised to check that their third party liability and home insurance policies cover holiday premises.

Extra charges

The extra charges must be paid directly to the owner before the departure.

Charges : most holiday rentals show their rates 'all inclusive'. If this is not the case, it will be stated  in the description. The rental of the gîte includes at least :
- 8 KWH of electricity per day and 500 litres of cold water per day. 
- The description of the Gîte specifies how the charges are; actual consumption or fixed charge

Local taxes : A visitor's tax may be levied by the local authority in some locations.

Linen / cleaning charges : It's sometimes possible to rent linen and pay a cleaning package on the premises.

Advices

Search - Refine - View - Contact : Search over 800 properties on. Refine your search based on your individual travel preferences. View properties and save your favourite properties, write notes and share with friends and family. Book on line or contact the booking services or the property owners and managers to check details, confirm availability and book. 

Special situation : staying in accommodation with a swimming pool means that the tenant will actively and constantly supervise the swimming pool as well as its users, especially young children.
Family Pets, it's imperative that you indicate your intention to bring a pet along when you make you booking. Each Gîte indicates whether pets accepted or not and the possible extra. The animal remains under the responsibility of the tenant and do not cause damage or disorder.

Book and Confirm : review, sign and return your rental contract to confirm reservation with the payment. Optional insurance will be proposed : tailor-made in partnership with Groupama; provides booking cancellation.
Gîtes de France Alpes-Maritimes accepts the payment by credit card (except American Express), gift vouchers Gîtes de France and bank transfer on request excepted in last minute the payment by credit card only

Contact the owner by Email or by phone before your arrivalArrival : Present the contract or the voucher to the owner. In Holiday Cottage, an inventory must be drawn up at the beginning of each stay and the owner require a deposit to cover possible damages. 

During the stay : enjoy your holiday in Gîtes de France...
Any claims on the part of the tenant should be precise to the owner and then to the Gîtes de France 33 (0)4 92 15 21 30 within three days of arrival. 

Departure : The tenant must to clean of the house before the departure . A cleaning package is sometimes proposed to facilitate your departure : contact the owner.
For the guest room: cleaning maintenance is provided by the owner.

An ended inventory must be drawn up at the end of the stay. Any items that have been lost or damaged must be reimbursed by the tenant.
